Job Summary We're looking to add a Senior Accountant to our quickly growing practice who enjoys public accounting work and helping small businesses, but is ready to leave a stressful tax season or the travel requirements of audit behind. This role is perfect for someone who likes working with small business clients who require a mix of payroll, bookkeeping, and tax work, and helping develop the future of the firm but wants a more consistent, balanced schedule year-round schedule. Duties
- Review work of staff accountants, and provide feedback for development Communicate monthly financial results and recaps to clients in an understandable manner and provide actionable insights. Complete accounting tasks for our more complex clients
- Help develop policies, procedures, technology and workflow systems within the firm and for clients
- Prepare Tax returns for Small Businesses (1120, 1120S, 1065) and Individual returns for their owners (1040)
- Communicate with clients and provide ongoing support Experience Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or a related field is Required CPA or pursuing CPA is a plus.
EA or Pursuing EA a plus Proven experience a small office public accounting environment Payroll experience including filing of payroll reports Hands-on experience with various accounting software. Familiarity with payroll systems Excellent analytical skills including the ability to independently investigate issues, identify trends, and question inconsistencies Pay to adjust based on experience and credentials
