Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant that specializes in tax preparation and tax planning. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related experience and provide expert tax guidance, ensure compliance, maintain existing client relationships and build new ones. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced but family-friendly environment that includes a positive work-life balance. This role was created to support company growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses. Assist with tax planning and projections requested by clients. Conduct tax research to stay informed about changing tax laws and regulations. Advise clients on tax strategies for tax savings and reductions. Assess tax return changes and resolve amendments. Maintain client relationships and answer correspondence in a timely manner. Perform other related duties as assigned.Preferred Experience and Education:
5+ Years experience in individual and business tax preparation. Ability to obtain a valid PTIN is required. Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant a plus. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory guidelines. General proficiency with Microsoft office products and QuickBooks. Experience with UltraTax software a plus.About Stark & Associates:
