Job DescriptionPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming raw materials to verify they meet quality standards and specificationsConduct in-process and final inspections of coated materials for defects, surface finish, thickness, and other quality attributesEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company quality criteriaSet up and calibrate testing and measurement equipment to ensure accuracyMonitor production processes, such as coating and printing applications, speed, and temperature, to maintain qualityConduct workstation audits and equipment inspections for proper operation and cleanlinessMaintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and product dataDocument any defects, issues, or non-conformance identified during the quality control processPrepare detailed reports for management and engineering teams on quality performanceCollaborate with production, engineering, and other teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actionsEnsure that all production activities and quality control procedures comply with safety and cleanliness standardsParticipate in shift-start and shift-end Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities including cleaning and inspection of process equipmentOther duties may be assigned by Supervisor or Engineering Team members concerning issues that affect the performance or quality of the line.
QualificationsAdditional Responsibilities:
Good communication and collaboration skills to work with various teamsWillingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduledTechnical understanding of coating, digital printing and curing processes and equipmentProficiency in using measurement and testing equipmentWillingness to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleaguesWear proper PPE when and where requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GEDPrevious quality inspection experience in a continuous production environmentExperience with roll coating or digital printing a plus
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical KnowledgePrecision and attention to detailProblem-solving skillsTechnical aptitude using a range of inspection and measurement equipment, ie… thickness gauges, adhesion testersAdditional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is
Hiring Pay Range:
$39,520 USD - $45,760 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
