Why join us? 401k match medical dental vision PTO holidays flexible environment great mentorship room for advancement Job Details Audit Manager Position Overview Our client is an established Oklahoma City accounting and advisory firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its public accounting team. This position is responsible for managing complex audit engagements, reviewing team members' work, overseeing project budgets and deadlines, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is an experienced public accounting professional who can work independently, lead engagement teams, communicate effectively with clients and firm leadership, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision. Responsibilities
  • Manage and complete complex audit engagements with limited supervision
  • Take ownership of client projects from planning through completion
  • Review senior-level audit work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to senior and junior-level team members
  • Ensure client deliverables are accurate, professional, and ready for presentation
  • Assist with establishing project budgets and timelines
  • Monitor engagement progress and ensure projects remain within established budgets
  • Proactively communicate potential budget, timeline, or scope issues to firm leadership
  • Identify opportunities for additional client services when appropriate
  • Coordinate projects with other departments and service lines as needed
  • Maintain strong and professional client relationships
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding engagement status, questions, and deliverables
  • Participate in engagement planning, risk assessment, and review processes
  • Support the continued development of staff through coaching and feedback
  • Complete required continuing professional education, including a minimum of 40 hours of CPE annually
  • Stay current on accounting, auditing, and industry developments
  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional team environment Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Active CPA license required
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • Strong audit and accounting knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience managing audit engagements and reviewing staff work
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with a team
  • Professional judgment and strong attention to detail
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in a changing environment
  • Strong technology skills; CCH Axcess experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits
  • $100,000-$130,000 annual salary, based on experience
