Vinton Residents | FREE Energy Auditor Training + $500

Daleville, VA Vinton Residents:
Build New Skills at NO COST to You Everblue is recruiting Town of Vinton residents for a fully funded workforce training opportunity in building science, home energy efficiency and residential energy auditing. Through the Virginia EECBG program , eligible participants can receive professional training and industry certification opportunities at no tuition cost . You don't need to already work in the energy industry. We're looking for people who are willing to learn and interested in developing skills that can open doors to careers in energy efficiency, weatherization, home performance and related skilled trades. What You Get FREE Building Science Principles training FREE professional training and certification opportunities One week of hands-on, in-person training Residential energy auditing experience $500 stipend after successfully completing required training and program activities Up to $500 additional reimbursement for eligible travel expenses Industry credentials and practical experience for your resume What You'll Do Before the in-person portion of the program, you'll complete the assigned Building Science Principles (BSP) training and pass the required exam on your own time. Then you'll attend ONE of the following in-person training weeks in

  • October 2, 2026 October 26
  • October 30, 2026 November 30
  • December 4, 2026 After completing training and earning the required certifications, you'll put your new skills to work by completing four residential energy audits on homes within the community .
Who Should Apply? No previous energy auditing experience is required. We especially encourage people with experience or interest in construction, HVAC, maintenance, home inspection, weatherization, facilities, property maintenance, building science, energy efficiency or other hands-on technical work to apply. Most importantly, we're looking for people who are dependable, willing to learn and able to complete the entire program.

This opportunity is specifically recruiting participants from the Town of Vinton, Virginia . This is a funded workforce training opportunity , not a traditional salaried position.
