Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed
• Assess and document vehicle damage, including both mechanical and cosmetic issues
• Utilize automotive repair knowledge to accurately estimate the cost of repairs
• Collaborate with insurance companies and customers to negotiate repair costs and settlements
• Provide detailed reports and documentation to support repair estimates
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in automotive technology
• Maintain accurate records of appraisals, repair estimates, and customer interactions

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
• Experience in auto body repair, auto restoration, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of service writing and auto estimating processes
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess vehicle damage accurately
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with insurance companies and customers
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document findings accurately
• Proficient in using computer software for estimating repairs and generating reports
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
