As an Xactimate Estimator, you are the engine of our billing operation. This is a dedicated estimating role: you are not fielding adjuster calls or chasing payments. Your mission is to take raw field documentation and turn it into complete, accurate, IICRC-compliant Xactimate estimates that our billing team can submit with confidence and that hold up to carrier review the first time.

Estimate Writing:

Build comprehensive Xactimate estimates for water mitigation, environmental, and fire/structural cleaning jobs from field paperwork, moisture logs, equipment logs, drying data, and photo documentation.

Sketch & Scope:

Produce accurate Xactimate sketches and room-by-room scopes; verify dimensions, affected materials, and categories/classes of loss against the field record.

Documentation Audit:

Review field documentation for gaps before writing; flag missing photos, readings, or sign-offs to Coordinators so every line item is supported.

Standards Compliance:

Apply IICRC S500 and S520 standards and carrier-specific estimating guidelines so estimates are defensible and clear review without delay.

Revisions & Supplements:

Prepare revised estimates and supplements when scope changes or carrier feedback comes back through the billing team, with clear line-item justification.

Turnaround:

Deliver completed estimates within defined turnaround windows so invoices go out fast and our collection targets stay on track.

Collaboration:

Partner with Field Technicians, Coordinators, and the billing team to close documentation gaps and keep the estimate pipeline moving.

Xactimate Mastery:

Deep, hands-on experience writing mitigation estimates in Xactimate, including Sketch, line-item selection, and pricing logic. Level 1-3 certification is a strong plus.

IICRC Knowledge:

A strong understanding of Water Damage Restoration standards (IICRC S500). WRT/ASD or other IICRC certifications are a major plus.

Restoration Fluency:

You can read a moisture map and a drying log and know what the estimate should look like before you open Xactimate.

Urgency & Precision:

You thrive in a high-volume environment where accuracy and turnaround directly impact the bottom line.

Tech-Savviness:

Proficiency in restoration management and documentation software (Dash, Encircle, CompanyCam, or similar) is highly preferred.
