Job Description
Position Summary:
Run the Day-to-Day Operations of the Punta Gorda branch from open to close every day: from Customer Service to inventory control, workflow, safety, warehouse organization, culture building, employee management to cost management. The purpose of the position is to increase operational efficiency, customer experience, sales and safety at the branch. The ideal candidate has a granular knowledge of Operations of a Hardwood Lumber Yard with at least 3-years industry experience. The position is not for an MBA. It is a get down in it, hands on leadership role.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage 12-person and growing employee team Manage the daily operations of the branch Oversee Warehouse Management, Organization and Safety. Oversee Will Call Sales Team and daily delivery Operations Oversee Branch Safety (We have Corporate and branch safety leaders) Evaluate all aspects of the Operations on a granular level to improve efficiency and profitability Provide leadership to all branch members to help create a great work environment with outstanding customer service, efficiency and profitability.Position Requirements:
Education:
School of Hard Knocks Building Materials 3-years industry experience. A Focus on Hardwood Lumber is a plus.Skills/Experience:
Excellent communication skills Leadership skills with a love for teaching and growing people Competent computer skills (Experience with Agility Distribution Software a plus but not required 3-Years plus experience in Building Materials - expertise in Hardwood Lumber is a plus. Knowledge of Cabinet Hardware also a plus Willingness to lead, learn and grow and proving to be an effective leader with a strong and dependable work ethicHours:
