Position Overview:
The Assistant Financial Center Manager is a senior, hands-on leader who partners with the Financial Center Manager to drive business growth, client loyalty, colleague performance and operational integrity within a larger, higher-volume or more complex Financial Center. The role independently manages complex client needs and delegated business-plan responsibilities, provides structured coaching and serves as the primary acting manager when the Financial Center Manager is unavailable. This position helps build bench strength, reinforces consistent execution and connects clients to the full capabilities of Peapack.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Experience and Relationship Management Set and model white-glove service standards that reflect Peapack hospitality, urgency, discretion and care. Manage complex or high-value client relationships and escalations, coordinating appropriate Bank partners through resolution. Lead proactive client outreach, relationship reviews, retention activity and portfolio-deepening efforts. Use client feedback, complaint trends and service data to identify root causes and recommend sustainable improvements. Business Growth and Financial Center Performance Partner with the Financial Center Manager to execute the business plan, production pipeline, activity expectations and financial goals. Use scorecards, client segments, attrition and market information to identify opportunities and develop action plans. Lead outside calling, community engagement and centers-of-influence development to acquire and deepen profitable relationships. Coordinate wealth, lending, commercial, treasury and Personal Banking partners to deliver suitable, integrated client solutions. Team Leadership, Coaching and Development Serve as the primary acting manager and independently direct daily sales, service, staffing and operational priorities when delegated. Conduct structured huddles, coaching discussions and performance follow-up that improve colleague results and behaviors. Support onboarding, cross-training, development plans and readiness planning that build Financial Center bench strength. Set clear expectations, recognize performance, address routine execution gaps and reinforce an inclusive One Team culture. Operations, Risk and Enterprise Partnership Maintain a strong control environment and audit readiness across cash handling, staffing, security, sales, service and operations. Review reports, exceptions, losses, complaints and process trends and implement corrective action within assigned authority. Apply sound judgment to identify and escalate operational, fraud, reputational, human-capital and sales-practice risk. Support nearby Financial Centers, market initiatives and enterprise partners and serve as an operational and client-service resource as assigned. Key Behavioral Expectations Lead with agility and adaptability, responding effectively to changing priorities, ambiguity and client needs. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and continuous learning, using feedback, data and market insight to improve results. Use AI, automation and emerging technologies responsibly to improve efficiency, insight and client service while protecting confidentiality and applying human judgment. Apply enterprise-wide thinking and sound judgment, balancing client needs, risk discipline, profitability and long-term trust. Model white-glove hospitality through personalized, proactive and high-touch experiences for clients, prospects, colleagues and partners. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred. 4 to 6+ years of retail banking, Financial Center operations, relationship management or comparable financial services experience, including lead, supervisory or significant coaching responsibility preferred. Demonstrated success supporting Financial Center growth, client retention, team accountability and operational integrity in a higher-volume or more complex environment. Strong coaching, problem-solving, performance follow-up and relationship-development skills. Strong working knowledge of consumer, business, lending, digital, treasury and wealth solutions, with the ability to coordinate appropriate recommendations and referrals. Strong understanding of Financial Center operations, risk management, audit controls and banking regulations; ability to meet applicable SAFE Act, NMLS, Bank policy and regulatory requirements. Experience serving as acting manager, established centers-of-influence, affluent client experience, Notary Public commission and bilingual capability based on market needs preferred.

None formally assigned unless designated; provides daily work direction, coaching and performance input as delegated.
Indirect Reports:
Financial Center colleagues when serving as acting manager or leading assigned initiatives.
External and Vendor Relationships:
Financial Center clients and prospects, business owners, community and civic organizations, professional networks, centers of influence, referral partners and other external parties involved in business development and client service.

The approximate pay range for this position is $65,000 to $83,000, plus an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
