The ideal candidate will bring 4 or more years of hands-on experience in medical billing and A/R management, with a strong understanding of the revenue cycle and insurance reimbursement processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate billing and effective follow-up on outstanding claims. Duties Review and analyze outstanding A/R and take action to resolve aging accounts. Follow up with payers to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution. Investigate and correct claim rejections, denials, and underpayments. Post and reconcile payments, adjustments, and refunds. Prepare and submit corrected claims and appeals as needed. Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and internal staff to resolve issues quickly. Identify trends or root causes contributing to high A/R and suggest process improvements. Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable. Strong knowledge of insurance claim submission, denial management, and reimbursement . Proficiency with medical billing systems (e.g., Advance MD, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or similar). Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
