Job Description

Summary Prepare and process all invoices for payment, execute check runs, maintain all accounts payable records and respond to payment inquiries Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process all invoices for payment in a timely manner, usually within 5 business days.
  • Prepare and process all debit memos.
  • Review all vendor statements to insure accounts payable has received all outstanding invoices
  • Prepare and execute all check runs, including posting and preparing the file for upload to the bank.
  • Maintain all accounts payable records, properly and accurately.
  • Respond to all vendor/co-worker inquires in a timely manner, usually the same business day.
  • Assist with the end of month reporting and account reconciliation.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding accounts payable records and other accounting functions.
  • Prepare wire transfers and electronic payments as required.
  • Prepare 1099 forms and required government reporting.
  • Assist with the annual inventory count and annual audit.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, as applicable. Report any incidents of harassment to your Supervisor, Manager or Human Resources Manager.
  • Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your Supervisor or Manager immediately.

  • Minimum 5 years account payable experience
  • Detail oriented. Multi-tasking ability
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • 10 Key by touch
  • Epicor software experience helpful, but not mandatory Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or up to 5 years relevant work experience.
Communication Skills § Ability to communicate simple facts with courtesy and clarity. Mathematical Skills § Ability to perform calculations utilizing arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division normally attained through elementary school education. Reasoning Ability § Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. § Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
