401(k) Company parties Flexible schedule Contract Bookkeeper - Law Firm Experience Required The Law Offices of Bob Nehoray is seeking an experienced contract bookkeeper to support our growing California law firm. This is a in office, part-time contract position with the potential for an ongoing relationship.
NOT REMOTE
The ideal candidate has direct bookkeeping experience within a law firm and understands the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, proper documentation, and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank, credit card, operating, and client trust accounts Maintain accurate general ledger records Track case-related costs, client advances, reimbursements, and vendor payments Assist with settlement and disbursement reconciliation Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss and balance sheet statements Support payroll reconciliation and contractor payment tracking Organize financial records for tax preparation and audits Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to bookkeeping procedures Coordinate with firm leadership, payroll providers, accountants, and other vendors as needed Required Qualifications Previous bookkeeping experience with a law firm Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online Experience with law-firm trust accounting and IOLTA reconciliation Understanding of three-way trust-account reconciliation Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Clear written and verbal communication skills Experience with workers' compensation or personal injury firms, multi-office operations, payroll reconciliation, and legal case-management systems is preferred.
