Job Description
Empath Health is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team . In this role, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely data entry and payment of all approved invoices and check requests for obligations incurred by Suncoast Caring Community, Inc., and the entities of which it is comprised, and is responsible for certain regulatory compliance preparation as related to the Accounts Payable function.
Location:
Fully on-site in Palm Harbor, FL What You'll Do Ensure all invoices and check requests submitted for payment include appropriate levels of approval and general ledger coding appropriate to the department to which the document relates Ensure accuracy of data entry into the accounts payable system. Obtain appropriate documentation for any new/ vendors changes for the appropriate team. Conduct appropriate research and use appropriate invoice numbering format to reduce possibility of duplicative payments to vendors and directly communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies or concerns. Preparation and maintenance of records necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to IRS Form 1099 and Unclaimed Property.
