Acworth, Georgia Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, full time Bookkeeper to manage the daily financial operations of our sign design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance company. In this role you will handle all full-charge bookkeeping duties using QuickBooks and Excel with heavy emphasis on project job costing and tracking independent contractors. You will focus strictly on financial management, as general office administration is handled by a separate team member.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Software Management:
Maintain and update daily transactions within QuickBooks and manage complex project tracking data using Excel spreadsheets.
Excel Spreadsheets:
Use high level skills to update large spreadsheets for forward looking financial data. Meet with every management team member to get data updates.
Contractor Coordination:
Track independent contractor invoices, verify completed work, and ensure valid W-9 forms and insurance certificates are on file.
Job Costing:
Allocate costs and contractor labor expenses to specific projects to analyze job profitability.
Accounts Receivable:
Generate customer invoices, manage progress invoicing, for large scale projects, and deposit and track incoming payments.
Accounts Payable:
Review and process vendor and expenses invoices verify pricing against purchase orders and issue payments.
Reconciliation:
Conduct monthly and semi monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial precision. Coordination with
Team Members:
Work with CPA, and other team members data collection and use. Additional Duties as
Required:

Qualifications and Skills Experience:
M inimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the sign industry, construction or custom manufacturing.
Software Mastery:
Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, data organization).
Tax Compliance:
Strong familiarity with tax reporting requirements.
Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of job costing methodologies, accrual accounting, revenue and expense matching and project based work flows.
Education:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred: QuickBooks certification is a plus.
Working Conditions & Compensation Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Salary:
$70,000
