Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, as well as experience in benefits administration and general ledger reconciliation.Duties:
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Conduct data entry tasks with precision
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies
Requirements:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Excel
- Knowledge of technical accounting practices
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
