This position is entry to mid-level with room for growth and learning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide accounting and clerical support to our retail stores
• Responsible for weekly reporting
• Assist with data entry of accounts payable and wholesale invoices
• Assist with reconciliation of vendor statements
• Assist with general office filing
• Assist with retrieval and processing of incoming and outgoing mail
• Assist with general office duties including making copies, scanning documents, faxing, and mailing
• Assist with monthly reconciliations as needed
• Performs other duties as directed
• Demonstrates regular and dependable attendance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and terminology
• Ability to perform basic math: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and find percentages
• Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others
• Ability to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a friendly and positive manner
• Ability to use judgment and discretion
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to use a computer and knowledge of standard and specific business applications, such as computerized accounting, ten key calculator, e-mail, electronic spreadsheet development, database, and word processing; ability to learn new software applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 yr office/bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Office products
• Experience with Sage 100, preferred
