Job Description
Bookkeeper/Grants Administrator Appalachian Artisan Center $28,000 - $32,000 per year Job Summary The Appalachian Artisan Center is dedicated to building community and strengthening an artisan-based economic sector through education, business development, programming, and support services for artists. Responsibilities and Duties Establish and maintain all accounts, ledgers, payroll, records, pay bills, for the Appalachian Artisan Center. Grant reporting and grant administration for all Appalachian Artisan Center grants; (except TCSIC grants) Work in cooperation with the AAC's Executive Director and its accounting firm to assist with AAC accounting needs as required, including an annual audit. Qualifications and Skills Required qualifications are a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles, and competence in QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Office software, and Google Suite. Preferred qualifications are a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration, knowledge of the Appalachian region and experience in grant reporting and administration. Qualified candidates from Knott, Letcher, Floyd and Perry Counties are encouraged to apply.

- This job is full-time, in person only, no remote work.
- We do not currently offer health insurance or a retirement plan but are working on ways to fund both eventually.
- We do offer one week paid time off annually and 7 paid vacation days the first year.
Pay:
