Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a critical role supporting advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures as a CVOR Tech. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the surgical team. This contract opportunity is well-suited for professionals eager to apply their technical skills and contribute meaningfully to cardiac care.
Key Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited CVOR Tech program required Demonstrated experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) environment Strong understanding of sterile techniques and operating room protocols Ability to set up and operate CVOR equipment efficiently Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress environment Willingness to adapt to evolving clinical needs and protocol changes
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position with shifts as determined by department need Flexibility to work variable hours, including possible weekends and holidays
Role Responsibilities:
Prepare the cardiovascular operating room and ensure all surgical equipment is sterile and functioning Assist surgeons and nursing staff during cardiac and vascular procedures Maintain a sterile environment, monitoring supplies, and instrument counts Handle and manage specimens in accordance with facility policy Support patient safety initiatives and adhere to strict infection control guidelines Communicate closely with surgical team members to anticipate needs throughout procedures Participate in ongoing educational training to stay current with latest techniques
