In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting overall financial health. Your expertise in accounting systems, customer communication, and data analysis will contribute significantly to our organization's success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse financial software and develop your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation. Contact clients via phone, email, or written correspondence to follow up on overdue payments and resolve billing discrepancies. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record transactions accurately and efficiently. Perform detailed analysis of accounts receivable data using Excel formulas and spreadsheets to identify trends and discrepancies. Collaborate with internal teams on billing issues, credit analysis, and client account management to ensure smooth cash flow. Maintain compliance with financial regulations including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act). Conduct regular account reviews and perform journal entries for adjustments or corrections as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts receivable management. Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems; experience with billing software is a plus. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; familiarity with 10 key typing is preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze Excel data using formulas and pivot tables for effective decision-making. Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette for client communication. Understanding of financial concepts related to credit analysis, collections account management, and account reconciliation. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
