THE POSITION
Bolt Depot is seeking a Full-Time Finance Associate to support the growing financial and operational needs of the organization. This role performs a broad range of accounting, finance, and administrative functions, with a primary focus on day-to-day financial operations, accuracy of records, and internal reporting. This position reports directly to the Company owners and works closely with senior leadership, providing meaningful exposure to strategic financial decision-making. The Finance Associate will manage routine accounting tasks, support cash and banking activities, and assist with regulatory, payroll-related, and benefits-related reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions in QuickBooks
  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice review, vendor reconciliations, and payment processing
  • Administer corporate credit cards and employee expense reports
  • Process banking transactions, including wire transfers and cash flow monitoring
  • Maintain fixed asset records, prepaid expenses, and expense accruals
  • Prepare account reconciliations (bank, credit card, and vendor accounts)
  • Assist with internal financial reporting and expense tracking
  • Scan, organize, and maintain financial documentation and receipts
  • Support the Company's 401(k) plan and fiduciary requirements
  • Handle PFML reporting and other required filings with state agencies
  • Assist with health insurance renewals and regulatory notices
  • Support quarterly tax preparation and filings
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • CPA license preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with multiple programs or funding sources
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience with payroll, benefits, and regulatory reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy, proactive, and aligned with Company values
