Job Description
A/R and Billing Specialist Salary range: $19-$23/hr commensurate with experience

Full-time, Non-Exempt Total Environmental Concepts, Inc. (TEC), an environmental service and construction company, is looking for an experienced finance professional that will mainly handle Accounts Receivable and some Billing for a multi-state contractor. This is a full-time, hourly position.Main Job Responsibilities:
Record customer payments and prepare the daily deposit in the accounting system. Scan any checks received into the appropriate bank account. This includes posting the payment to the correct customer and against the appropriate outstanding invoice as well as investigate and resolve any discrepancies. Monitor the accounts receivable aging and facilitate collection of overdue accounts. This includes contacting customers, inquiring about payment status, supplying any required documents, following up when appropriate and documenting the notes in the financial system. Prepare AIA and T&M style invoices to TEC's customers. This can include a complete package of the invoice, a cover page, timesheets and any other backup that is required. Process customer credit applications and submit to outside consultant when necessary. Assists with monthly status reports and monthly closings. Performs other duties as required to support the Finance Department.Job Requirements:
1-3 years of A/R or general accounting experience, or relevant education. QuickBooks experience and Microsoft Office knowledge is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented. Ability to multi-task and be a hard-working team player. Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines.
