full-time Our people make all the difference We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Accounting Clerk to support our accounting team across accounts payable, cash receipts, and day-to-day financial record keeping. This role is responsible for processing invoices and payments, reconciling cash receipts, and maintaining accurate, and up-to-date financial records. The Accounting Clerk partners closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure transactions are processed accurately and deadlines are met. This position is ideal for someone who is newly graduated and looking to start their accounting career, enjoys detail-focused work, and wants to build a strong foundation in accounting operations. What you'll do: Manage the vendor invoice process by completing Accounts Payable vendor invoice entries and filing open invoices both electronically and manually. Matching of ACH and check payment remittances to vendor invoices and filing them in paid vendor files. Backup for vendor contact set up in the system Reconcile insurance benefit statement to allocation spreadsheets. Reconcile Amazon credit card statement general ledger account Reconcile vendor statements with AP aging reports. Support end of year activities by updating Accounts Payable files/creating new accounts payable folders and labels for the new year Produce and Distribute annual Vendor 1099 forms Demonstrate internal and external customer/vendor service Backup for customer contact set up in the system. Accounts Receivable ACH receipt entry Accounts Receivable checks receipt entry and electronically scan and deposit customer checks to bank daily Support employees by reporting monthly gas mileage rates to sales and service technicians and tracking and filing employee credit card receipts. Reconcile interim shipments accounts Complete any other tasks as assigned based on company need and ability What we're looking for An understanding of accounting concepts and processes Exceptional communication skills Someone who leads with a customer service mindset A strong attention to detail and organizational skills The ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and balance competing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft & Google Suites Comfortable working in customer database systems 2-3 years of general on the job accounting experience or equivalent education We welcome candidates with: A degree or coursework in accounting, finance or a related field 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or a related role. We will consider internship experience!
