Respond with Compassionate Action Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Regional Finance Officer to join our Field Finance team at our International Headquarters in Boone, North Carolina. As a Regional Finance Officer, you will provide strategic financial guidance and support to Project Leadership and assigned field offices. You will help ensure strong financial management, fiscal accountability, and effective stewardship of ministry resources throughout the assigned region. In the role of Regional Finance Officer , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Advise Projects Leadership on the financial management performance of assigned field offices, and inform leadership of financial issues originating from and/or affecting assigned field offices. Provide timely and accurate financial analysis for assigned field offices Provide technical financial support to the finance function in assigned field offices. Communicate directly with field finance managers and accountants to provide instructions, corrections, and other work-related information Provide directional support to Finance Managers in a proper structure of their in-country finance team to help ensure financial integrity Maintain an understanding of internal controls and perform periodic assessments to identify risks associated with financial operations within the assigned region Travel to field sites to ensure proper implementation of finance-related policies and procedures, for temporary assignments, and for other objectives as needed. Develop and implement training programs for finance staff and for others as needed Participate in regional team meetings, coordination, and planning. Serves as the principal liaison with Projects Leadership for all finance-related matters in the assigned field offices Facilitate fund requests from field offices and monitor cash and bank balances. Providing an analysis of the cash position to the Project Leadership accordingly and facilitate the calculation and payment of in-country taxes associated with International Field Staff in assigned field offices as necessary Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified in the job description What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study, and 5-7+ years related experience and/or training (required) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (a plus) Knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP) International experience and demonstrated success in cross-cultural communication and ministry (preferred) Effective in leading in-person and remote training Ability to calculate, present, and analyze financial information Strong verbal and written communication skills Flexibility, adaptability, readiness, and ability to work with a diverse team in a pressured environment Proven ability to work creatively and independently. A strong team player and adept at creating a strong team spirit Ability to work with cross-functional teams across the organization Ability to travel and work in difficult conditions under pressure. International Travel required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including proficiency in Excel and Outlook (required) What are the benefits?
