Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable activities. Key responsibilities include processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, preparing and reviewing expense reports, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. The role also involves entering and maintaining accounting records, supporting month-end close with journal entries, and resolving discrepancies through communication with vendors and internal teams. The specialist will help maintain adherence to company policies, support audits, and contribute to process improvements for the accounts payable function. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Accounting and Finance, with a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. Candidates should possess experience with Expense Reports and vendor invoice processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies. Candidates should possess proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting), including posting and reconciling entries for month-end close. Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify issues, and recommend improvements. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting, familiarity with ERP or accounting software, and strong Excel skills. Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, time management, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. An associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
