Job Description

Canobie Lake Park has maintained the highest standards of family entertainment for over 120 years and is currently seeking a positive, self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our Team in a part-time, year-round capacity. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable working with numbers, and enjoys supporting the financial operations of a busy organization. This position averages 20-25 hours per week and is an in person position at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire. The position supports the Accounting Department throughout the year, during both the park's operating season and off-season.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner Review invoices for proper documentation and approvals Enter and maintain accounts payable information Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation Prepare and process vendor payments Maintain accurate vendor records and AP files Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies Reconcile vendor statements Respond to vendor and internal department inquiries Assist with month-end accounts payable procedures Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records Work with purchasing and other departments to ensure proper invoice processing Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed

Qualifications:

Previous accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or related office experience preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Comfortable learning and working with accounting and purchasing software Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting or business coursework is a plus Experience with the following is helpful, but not required: QuickBooks ProcureDesk purchasing and accounts payable software Google Workspace (Google Suite), including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications
