Overview Join our healthcare team in Behavioral Health as a Medical Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist ! This is an in person role, where you'll play a key part in resolving outstanding insurance claims and strengthening our revenue cycle. We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional who enjoys investigating claims, working with insurance carriers, and turning aged AR into paid claims.

Responsibilities:

Manage and resolve outstanding insurance accounts receivable, with a strong focus on aged AR. Follow up with insurance carriers on unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims. Research claim discrepancies, submit appeals, and identify opportunities for reimbursement. Review insurance payments, EOBs, and claim statuses to ensure accurate reimbursement. Document all account activity and communications with insurance companies.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum 2 years of medical insurance accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, or medical billing experience. Experience working insurance denials, appeals, collections, and aging AR is required. Strong understanding of medical insurance claims, EOBs, reimbursement processes, and payer guidelines. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Availity), billing software, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. ABA billing experience preferred, but not required.
