Type:

full-time Our client, a financial service firm, seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This role reports to the Director of Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pay Financial Representative Commissions . Process Semi-Monthly - Commissions for FRs for 2 companies, on JD Edwards Oracle Platform. Post all recoveries charges (chargebacks) and allowances prior to processing through journal entries. Set up hundreds of ACH's 48 hours prior to pay day on JPMorgan Access Platform Prepare annual 1099 statements for financial representatives. Educate new FRs on how their compensation is paid through commissions, fees and bonuses. Commitment and understanding of role, accuracy and attention to detail are imperative to keep a tight deadline Manage accounts payable/reimbursements. Pay network office bills in a timely fashion - twice a week ACH & Checks Manage accounts payable to properly plan cash flow. Maintain accurate filings of invoices and other source documents. Bank Reconciliation. Reconcile all business accounts monthly Daily data input into accounting system . Make entries into the accounting system, using proper double-entry accounting procedures, and complete input on a timely basis for month-end and year-end accounting. Prepare depreciation schedules. Record amortization/depreciation expense on a monthly basis. Prepare all information for outside accountants to complete tax returns.

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate should have: Five or more years of experience in accounting, including general ledger maintenance, annual tax filings, and journal entries. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and technological savvy. Knowledge of standard accounting software programs. Strong presentation, persuasion, problem solving, oral and written communication skills. Strong personal code of ethics, including maintaining confidentiality. High self-motivation and strong organization skills. Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Team player and positive attitude. This position pays $75,000 to $80,000 and is on-site 5 days a week.
