Position Summary Philadelphia Sign is a national sign manufacturing company seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with strong accounts payable and basic accounting skills, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer service. This position is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions such as preparing and posting accounts payable entries, maintaining accurate vendor financial records, and participating in the month-end close process. The Accounts Payable Specialist would work collaboratively with Philadelphia Sign's Director of Accounting, staff, and department leaders in a fast-paced, purpose-focused, and rewarding environment to accurately execute assigned accounting tasks, protect assets, and provide support for organization operations. This position maintains strict confidentiality with all customers, vendors, and organization information.

Your Responsibilities may include:

Maintain financial records Comply with federal, state, and local laws in accounting and financial reporting Set up and maintain vendor information Prepare and assign vendor invoices to Project Managers Approve Project Manager's vendor invoices for payment Review all invoices for any discrepancies; match to purchase orders; follow up with coworkers when necessary Enter utility, tax, freight, supply, and material invoices into ERP system Meet vendor payment deadlines to capture prepay discounts and uphold the company's reputation as an excellent paying vendor Reconcile vendor statements to maintain accurate records and preempt any payment discrepancies Cut and mail out in-house checks daily; accurate and timely filing of processed checks Occasional trips to the post office to mail time sensitive checks or process certified mail Assist in month end and year end closing System administration and general corporate accounting Communicate tactfully, verbally, and in writing with department heads, managers, coworkers, and vendors to resolve problems

• Other duties as assigned by Director of Accounting Qualifications we are looking for: Ability to work under pressure in a multitasking environment Ability and willingness to independently follow up on information needed to complete job Effective time management skills and communication skills Excellent organization is critical to keep control of the flow of invoices Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work within strict deadlines Computer proficiency using MS Excel, Word and Outlook Minimum of 2 years of related experience Experience working within an ERP system preferred Benefits We offer excellent benefits, including 401(k), health insurance, life insurance, holidays, vacations, and more.
