Large and Growing Service Company that just Acquired another Company Looking for a Cash Application Specialist About Our Client The client is a Large Service Based Company who has just acquired another Service Company and needs help as they grow and expand. Job Description To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Daily Processing of Cash Receipts:
  • The specialist handles the daily processing of cash receipts, including posting payments made by billing system, credit card, lockbox, mailed checks and bank ACH payments, bank wires.
  • Identifying and address daily unapplied amounts, ensuring they are posted to customer accounts and when necessary, follow up with Unapplied Payments Specialist.
Record Maintenance:
  • Maintains accurate records for auditing purposes.
This includes filing remittances, and check copies and daily reporting to Treasury Manager.
Other Daily Tasks:
  • Processing NSF Payments and payment and reverse from customer accounts.
  • Record any refunds issued to customers.
  • Process any money moved between customer's accounts or posted improperly.
  • Process any lockbox exceptions.
Support and Communication:
  • Collaborating with Treasury Management and the Collections department.
  • Addressing any relevant issues related to cash receipts, applications.
  • Reaching out to customers to resolve account issues.

    Education:
    Candidates with relevant degrees such as an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field are preferred or High School diploma with strong math skills.
      Skills:
      Desired skills include familiarity with banking policies, online systems, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and accounts receivable concepts with strong math skills and problem solving.
        Experience:
        Candidates with 2 or more years of Cash Application and customer service experience are preferred. Tower Experience a plus. What's on Offer Competitive pay
