32 hrs/week initially • Reducing to 24 hrs/week starting July 1 Job Description We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting / Bookkeeping Clerk to assist with daily accounting and payroll functions. This role supports financial recordkeeping, payment processing, and administrative tasks under general supervision. Responsibilities Enter and process payments (in person and by mail) Maintain accurate financial and accounting records Verify timecards and enter payroll information Assist with departmental payroll processing Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice issues Communicate with vendors regarding payments and purchase orders Input, review, and reconcile fiscal data Maintain assigned accounts and ensure compliance with policies and contracts Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 15 college credit hours in business or 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (Education and experience may be substituted on a year - for - year basis) Preferred Qualifications Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge Experience with accounts payable and receivable Strong attention to detail and accuracy Customer service experience Familiarity with office equipment and computer systems Additional Requirements Valid New Mexico Driver's License and City Operator's Permit (COP) may be required, depending on assignment Our Commitment to
