Job Description

Accounts Receivable Clerk Our Cook Brothers Truck Parts Corporate office is in search of a reliable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will excel at the process of tracking invoices and resolving accounts for our customers. He or she should be a team player and be extremely detail oriented. We need someone who can work with the Branch Managers and salesman from all our locations as well.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Verify and accurately record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Maintains and updates customer accounts, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. Research customer account discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager, Branch Managers and Sales personnel Contact account holders to request payment on past due amounts. Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis. Copies, files and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed. Process new customer account applications Daily trip to post office to retrieve company mail from PO Box. Assists with answering phone and directing calls to appropriate departments. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have a valid NYS driver's license and dependable transportation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills, Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
