Rye, NY What You'll Do:

Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities Process and code accounts payable invoices Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections Record and code daily cash activity Prepare bank deposits Reconcile monthly credit card statements Prepare monthly program billing and departmental reports Maintain accurate vendor and accounting records Assist with monthly and annual reporting Support annual audit preparation Prepare annual 1099 forms Ensure transactions are properly coded and recorded in the accounting system Follow established accounting policies and internal controls Assist with improving accounting processes and efficiencies Provide additional accounting support as needed

What We're Looking For:

3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Experience with Excel and accounting software Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Nonprofit or multi-location accounting experience is a plus
