Job Description
Job Overview The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the organization in day-to-day financial operations by accurately processing customer, company, and supplier-related transactions. This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and includes hands-on experience and training in various accounting functions. Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable process including matching and vouchering vendor invoices
- Issue vendor payments including mailing checks and initiating electronic transfers
- Send Accounts Receivable customer invoices and follow up on past due accounts
- Complete customer credit checks and process credit card payments
- Daily Bank Account cash postings and monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare sales tax and 1099 documentation for federal/state filings
- Collate, file and archive documents in organized manner for easy access
- Assist with annual external financial audit including gathering records requested
- As needed support of Financial Controller in month-end closing or other reporting tasks Skills
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 0-2 years of accounting-related experience
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with customers, vendors, and other departments based on requirements and feedback
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel and Outlook
- On-the-job training will be provided by the company in using ERP system Be part of a dynamic team where innovation meets precision.
