Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative and Contract Specialist to join our construction/trades finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the billing and collection processes, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for both our Service and Contract Departments. Your expertise in Progress Billings, Construction Contracts , Accounting principles , and customer service will drive efficient revenue cycle operations, supporting the overall financial health of our organization. Responsibilities Review and process contract Progress Billings to ensure accuracy and completeness according to contract requirements. Collect and maintain documents required to prepare and submit Service Billings to both Residential and Commercial clients. Follow up on unpaid billings and review AR Aging activity for deficiencies. Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments received, and outstanding balances using Sage 100 Contractor and Procore platforms. Collaborate with Project Management team to ensure completeness of contracts and change orders. Assist in execution of construction contracts. Work along side all office staff to ensure accounting team stays cohesive and meets company goals. Requirements Proven experience in construction billing, accounts receivable, or retail accounting. Strong understanding of business management, accounting principles, and knowledge of construction or trade fields. Proficiency with Excel, billing software, and Microsoft Office applications. Procore and Sage 100 Contractor recommended. Knowledge of Cost Coding, Lien Waivers, and Pay Applications. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with general contractors, residential and commercial clients, and internal teams. Ability to analyze complex billing issues quickly and implement effective solutions while maintaining attention to detail. Construction office experience is preferred but not required.
