Job Description:
We are a growing granite, marble, and quartz countertop installation company seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting & HR Specialist to manage day-to-day financial and employee-related functions. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling both accounting and administrative responsibilities and enjoys working in a small business, hands-on environment. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with payroll and HR functions. Experience in construction or job-based environments is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable, including entering vendor bills and processing payments Assist with accounts receivable and customer invoicing Process payroll and assist with payroll tax filings (monthly/quarterly) Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Support general ledger maintenance and ensure data accuracy Assist with financial reporting, including balance sheet and profit & loss Handle HR-related tasks such as onboarding, employee records, and general support Help maintain organized accounting processes in a fast-paced environment Potential involvement in job costing and project tracking
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting role Experience with QuickBooks required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (preferred) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a small business setting High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Experience in construction, manufacturing, or job costing environment is a plus
