Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of general accounting principles, high accuracy in data entry and experience managing multiple financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations. The chosen candidate will work on site at our Oxford, CT office location and collaborate closely with our leadership team to maintain timely and accurate financial records. Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including recording invoices, payments and deposits Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate general ledger entries in QuickBooks Online Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records Monitor vendor payments and employee reimbursements Assist with payroll entry and reporting as needed Support periodic reporting, budgeting and year-end financial preparation Review and process customer' credit applications Audit incoming invoices Qualifications Proficiency with QuickBooks Online Minimum 1+ years of bookkeeping experience Strong knowledge of general accounting principles High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via email with internal team members, vendors and service providers Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality Proficiency with MacOS, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets Educational Requirements Associate degree in accounting or related field Join us if you're passionate about maintaining impeccable financial records while supporting an organization dedicated to growth and integrity!
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 15.0 per week
