Accounting Manager Position Summary Stratosphere Quality is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to support daily cash posting and account adjustment activities. This position processes customer payments, maintains accurate financial records, prepares cash reports, and works with the Accounting and Collections teams to resolve account discrepancies. The corporate role is responsible for daily cash postings and related account adjustments. This is a hybrid position based in Fishers, Indiana, with three required in-office days each week, 40 hour work week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process and apply daily customer payments, including checks, wire transfers, Automated Clearing House payments, credit card payments, and bank deposits. Record ACH and wire transfers between bank accounts using accounting software. Maintain cash-tracking files and bank balance information. Research payment discrepancies and make appropriate account adjustments. Prepare weekly and monthly cash reports for management. Partner with the Collections team to process approved bad-debt write-offs, legal adjustments, and other updates to account-aging records. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation. Follow established quality requirements and applicable company procedures. Complete required training. Perform other duties consistent with the general nature and level of the position. These responsibilities are based on the established internal Cash Applications Specialist function. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, cash application, or related experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members. Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ability to work in the Fishers office three days per week. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Previous cash application or accounts receivable experience. Experience processing ACH, wire, check, credit card, or bank-deposit transactions. Experience using accounting software. Experience with foreign or intercompany transactions.
