Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, 401(k), Paid Time Off Aggieland Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices, maintaining organized financial records, and ensuring timely payments while supporting the accounting department. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. Primary Responsibilities Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and subcontractor payments accurately and on time. Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure proper documentation. Verify coding and enter invoices into QuickBooks . Manage payment schedules and prepare checks, ACH payments, and credit card reconciliations. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems for accounts payable records. Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate job cost coding. Utilize Procore to review commitments, purchase orders, invoices, and project-related financial documentation. Assist with month-end closing by reconciling AP accounts and preparing reports. Respond professionally to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships. Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous experience in Accounts Payable or accounting (construction industry preferred). Proficiency in QuickBooks . Working knowledge of Microsoft Office , especially Excel , Outlook, and Word. Experience using Procore or the ability to learn quickly. Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial construction accounting Familiarity with Texas sales tax exemptions and construction-related accounting procedures.
