Hinton, VA 22831 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our finance team in Hinton, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the accounting department in various tasks to ensure compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Support the preparation of financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field helpful 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of GAAP and relevant accounting regulations.
