Job Description Job Responsibilities:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, including account maintenance, reconciliation activities, and collection efforts. This role serves as a key point of contact for agents, brokers, business partners, and insured clients, ensuring billing and payment inquiries are resolved promptly and accurately to support healthy cash flow and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile customer accounts while building positive relationships with internal and external business partners.
- Research and reconcile unapplied cash, open receivables, offsetting transactions, and disbursement requests.
- Investigate and resolve billing and payment discrepancies for agents, brokers, and customers.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, agents, brokers, and customers to determine root causes of payment issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
- Review and approve payment arrangements and assist in resolving account disputes.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries through multiple communication channels.
- Apply training and established procedures to meet departmental performance goals and service standards.
- Consistently achieve productivity and accuracy targets.
- Contribute to team objectives and service-level commitments established by department leadership.
