Job Description

Overview Empower Accounting & Consulting LLC is a growing accounting and consulting firm dedicated to helping small businesses succeed through quality bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and business support services. We value professionalism, confidentiality, strong communication, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company. We are seeking a bilingual Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper to support daily office operations and assist with bookkeeping and client service tasks. This position is ideal for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with confidential financial information. The right candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and a desire to grow professionally within the accounting field. Previous bookkeeping or administrative experience is preferred; however, related experience and strong aptitude may be considered in place of direct accounting experience. Primary Responsibilities Administrative Duties Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist clients Schedule appointments and manage calendars Greet clients and maintain a professional office environment Scan, organize, and upload client documentation Perform general office organization and administrative support tasks Communicate with clients regarding requested documentation and follow-up items Bookkeeping & Financial Support Duties Assist with bookkeeping and data entry tasks Work within QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks Help organize tax return documentation and client financial records Maintain accurate digital and physical files Handle limited cash/check processing when necessary Qualifications Fluent in both English and Spanish (required) Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Strong computer proficiency required Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks preferred Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles preferred Professional phone etiquette required Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information Ability to multitask and work independently in a professional office setting Reliable attendance and punctuality required Work Environment & Expectations In-office position located in Ephrata, WA Part-time schedule of approximately 15 - 30 hours per week Opportunity for hours and responsibilities to grow quickly for the right individual Position requires extended periods of sitting and computer work Office equipment and internet access are to be used for business purposes only Employee will have access to sensitive client financial, payroll, and tax information and must maintain strict confidentiality at all times Growth Opportunity This role offers excellent long-term growth potential for a motivated individual interested in developing bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and client service skills within a growing accounting firm.
