Join our team and become our new full-time Budget Analyst in the Finance Department. Reporting to the Finance Director, this position leads the data assembly and analysis behind the Village's Annual Budget, Capital Improvement Program, and financial reporting.YOUR DAY TO DAY
Leads annual budget development with the Finance Director, assisting departments with submissions, modeling revenue and expenditure projections, and presenting the budget to committees and the Village Board. Coordinates the annual Capital Improvement Program, ten-year capital projections, and five-year operating projections. Extracts, transforms, and visualizes financial data in Excel and business intelligence tools such as Power BI to identify operating problems and develop solutions. Monitors revenue and expenditures, coordinates monthly Finance Committee meetings, and prepares financial reports for Village management and the Village Board. Analyzes new programs, funding requests, and collective bargaining proposals to determine their short- and long-term impact on the Village budget.
