full-time Budget Analyst Position Overview The Budget Analyst provides financial and budget execution support for a program or portfolio. The role serves as a financial liaison between program stakeholders and budget functions, monitoring day-to-day financial matters and supporting planning, programming, budgeting, and execution activities. The position involves analyzing budgetary information, preparing financial data and reports, supporting execution activities, and providing updates on budget status and financial issues to relevant stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Serve as a financial point of contact for assigned programs or portfolios. Provide budget execution support and monitor day-to-day financial activities. Track budget status, financial issues, and execution requirements. Collaborate with budget analysts and program stakeholders to develop and consolidate budgetary information. Support planning, programming, budgeting, and execution cycles. Prepare and coordinate program review materials and financial reports. Provide guidance on financial accounting and related budgetary information. Conduct financial analyses, reviews, and special studies as needed. Use financial management and budget execution systems to maintain and analyze records. Monitor accounts, records, reports, controls, and other financial documentation. Identify and resolve budget execution issues. Provide detailed updates regarding document status, financial activities, and execution matters. Communicate financial information clearly to program and government stakeholders. Qualifications Associate degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline; additional relevant experience may be considered in place of education. 2+ years of experience working with federal financial or accounting systems. Experience updating financial accounts, records, reports, and internal controls. Strong understanding of federal budget execution processes. Ability to analyze financial and budgetary information. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to communicate effectively with financial, program, and government stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines. Security Requirements Current and active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information. Background investigation meeting applicable recency requirements.
