About the Role Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a visionary and collaborative Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help shape the future of one of the nation's leading cancer centers. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO plays a critical role in ensuring the long-term financial strength of the organization while supporting our mission to eliminate cancer's grip on humanity through world-class patient care, research, education, and innovation. The CFO provides strategic leadership across finance, revenue cycle, payer relations, supply chain, treasury, accounting, and financial planning functions, helping the organization make informed decisions that advance patient care and drive sustainable growth.   • Serve as a trusted advisor to the President & CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors on financial strategy and organizational performance.
  • Lead the development and execution of financial plans that support Roswell Park's long-term growth and mission.
  • Oversee all finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
  • Provide executive leadership for revenue cycle operations, reimbursement strategy, payer relations, and contract performance.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen revenue integrity, improve cash flow, optimize reimbursement, and enhance overall financial performance.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and research leaders to align financial strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Lead payer contracting and managed care strategies while building strong relationships with commercial and governmental payers.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, sound financial controls, regulatory compliance, and successful audit outcomes.
  • Oversee supply chain operations, procurement strategy, contract management, and resource stewardship across the organization.
  • Build, develop, and mentor high-performing leaders and teams across multiple functional areas.
  • Use data, analytics, and industry insights to identify opportunities, manage risk, and support informed decision-making. ________________________________________ What You'll Bring You may be an excellent fit for this role if you are:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field with a minimum of eight years of progressive healthcare financial leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance and a minimum of ten years of full-time experience in healthcare public accounting or financial management including executive-level responsibility.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) credentials preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare finance, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reimbursement, and revenue cycle management.
  • Significant experience with payer contracting, managed care strategy, reimbursement optimization, and payer relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex healthcare organizations through financial planning and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with revenue cycle, legal, compliance, clinical, and executive teams on reimbursement and payer strategies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare financial systems, electronic health records, and decision support tools; EPIC experience preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience 1. Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance and a minimum of eight (8) years of full-time experience in healthcare public accounting or financial management including two (2) years' experience in a supervisory, managerial, consultative, or executive capacity; or 2. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance and a minimum of ten (10) years of full-time experience in healthcare public accounting or financial management including two (2) years' experience in a supervisory, managerial, consultative, or executive capacity.
