Job Description

The Insurance Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Company's commercial insurance programs. This position coordinates claims, maintains accurate records, and works closely with insurance brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, and internal departments to ensure timely claims resolution and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Administer the Company's commercial insurance portfolio, including property, general liability, automobile, umbrella, drone, cyber liability, officers' liability, employment practices liability, and other insurance policies.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper insurance files, including policies, endorsements, renewals, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and related documentation.
  • Coordinate annual insurance renewals by gathering underwriting information, loss history, property values, vehicle schedules, and other required information.
  • Review and maintain insurance schedules for vehicles, equipment, buildings, and other insured assets.
  • Coordinate the issuance and work with Trust Layer on receipt and tracking of Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements contained in contracts, leases, and other agreements.
  • Serve as the Company's primary point of contact for insurance claims including all reporting of new claims.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, attorneys, brokers, and third-party administrators throughout the claims process.
  • Monitor open claims, maintain accurate claim files, track claim status, reserves, settlements, and supporting documentation to ensure timely resolution, updating CFO on a weekly basis
  • Assist management by gathering documentation, witness statements, photographs, invoices, and other evidence to support insurance claims.
  • Respond to insurance-related inquiries from employees, vendors, customers, and management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of commercial insurance and/or claims administration experience.
  • Experience handling commercial property, liability, and automobile claims.
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverage.
  • Ability to interpret insurance policies and related documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with insurance brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Work Schedule This is a part-time position scheduled for 20 hours per week . Additional hours may occasionally be required during insurance renewals, audits, periods of significant claims activity, or other business needs.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
