$52,000•500,000+ Annually About the Position Watchdog Construction Company is seeking motivated, professional Claims Specialists to join our growing exterior restoration team. This position focuses on helping homeowners identify storm damage, navigate the insurance claim process, and restore their properties properly. You will receive training, leadership support, estimating assistance, production coordination, and the systems needed to develop a successful career in exterior restoration. No roofing experience is required, but previous experience in sales, construction, insurance claims, or customer service is beneficial. Responsibilities Generate new business through canvassing, referrals, networking, company-generated opportunities, and community outreach Perform exterior property inspections for storm-related damage Document roofing, siding, gutter, window, and exterior damage Educate homeowners about the insurance restoration process Assist homeowners with initiating legitimate property claims Meet with insurance adjusters during property inspections Maintain accurate customer, inspection, and project information Present proposals and obtain signed agreements Maintain consistent communication with homeowners throughout the project Coordinate with management, estimating, production, and administrative teams Build referral relationships and maintain a professional presence in assigned territories Follow all company policies and applicable Illinois regulations What We Provide Comprehensive industry and claims-process training Ongoing sales coaching and field support Estimating and supplement assistance Production and project-management support CRM, inspection, measurement, and documentation systems Marketing materials and company apparel Opportunities for advancement into leadership and management Uncapped earning potential Qualifications Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented Comfortable speaking with homeowners and insurance professionals Willing to canvass, network, and generate new opportunities Able to climb ladders and safely inspect residential properties Comfortable working outdoors and traveling throughout the service area Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Smartphone and basic technology proficiency Previous roofing, restoration, insurance, or sales experience is preferred but not required Compensation This is a commission-based 1099 independent contractor position. Claims Specialists earn 20% of the job profit on completed and fully collected projects. Compensation is uncapped, and earnings depend on individual performance, project profitability, and collected revenue. Schedule This is a full-time opportunity with a flexible schedule. Some evening and weekend availability may be necessary to accommodate homeowners, inspections, adjuster meetings, and networking events.
