About the Role Our Claims Department provides outstanding individuals with the opportunity for an exciting and rewarding career. Resolving claims combines the excitement of investigations with the reward of helping people through difficult times. We are seeking motivated, proactive individuals to join our team as Field Adjusters. In this role, you will work directly with policyholders, claimants, and other involved parties to investigate property and casualty claims, evaluate coverage and damages, and negotiate fair and timely settlements. The position requires conducting physical inspections and maintaining frequent face-to-face contact with customers and other parties involved in the claims process. Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree or above preferred
  • Preference given to applicants with extended education and/or training
  • Mechanical and construction aptitude or ability preferred Required Skills and Abilities
  • Present a professional and personable attitude and communicate effectively in stressful situations
  • Demonstrate exceptional mental resilience and possess strong conflict management skills
  • Possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize your workload to demonstrate effective time management towards meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate the strong ability to make decisions and problem solve using logical and analytical skills
  • Must be reliable and capable of working independently as well with others Location & Commitments Full-time field role serving: Forsyth County.
Candidates must live in or proximate to Forsyth County. Reports to our Greensboro 2
DCO:
420 Gallimore Dairy Rd. Greensboro, NC 27409 . Must obtain and maintain licensing CE in compliance with N.C. Department of Insurance and N.C. Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company requirements. Must be able to extend and climb a ladder and maneuver within a crawl space. Must also have the ability to lift 35lbs. on a regular basis. All offers are contingent on a Background Check. Responsibilities of the Role 1. Provide prompt, timely, and professional communication for insureds and claimants. 2. Inspect damaged property to assess the extent of loss. 3. Appraise and determine covered damages using provided resources. 4. Investigate losses, verify coverage, and apply policy coverage. 5. Determine legal liability for losses and damages. 6. Authorize or deny claim payments based on policy guidelines. 7. Evaluate and establish reserves for the possible payout amounts. 8. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. 9. Maintain current, accurate, and detailed documentation throughout the claims process. 10. Ensure the protection and proper maintenance of all company equipment assigned to you. 11. Participate in industry-related conferences and training programs.
