FREIGHT BROKERAGE OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Transportation / Trucking / Freight Brokerage
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Freight Brokerage Operations & Compliance Manager to build, manage, and grow our freight brokerage operation. This is a senior, growth-focused role for someone with strong experience in the trucking, freight brokerage, and logistics industry who knows how to develop direct shipper relationships and turn those relationships into long-term business. The ideal candidate will take ownership of brokerage growth, actively pursue new customers, arrange meetings with key decision-makers, and build lasting relationships with shippers, manufacturers, distributors, and other freight customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, manage, and grow the company's freight brokerage operation Develop new direct shipper and customer relationships Identify and connect with key decision-makers Arrange and attend in-person and virtual meetings with prospective customers Build stronger relationships with existing customers and identify new opportunities Develop a consistent pipeline of direct freight opportunities Negotiate rates, lanes, and transportation agreements Develop and maintain a strong carrier network Coordinate with trucking operations and available fleet capacity Monitor brokerage volume, margins, customer performance, and growth Develop sales and customer follow-up strategies Recruit and manage additional brokerage and sales personnel as the department grows
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in freight brokerage, trucking, transportation, or logistics Strong knowledge of the U.S. trucking and freight market Proven ability to develop direct shipper/customer business Existing shipper relationships and industry contacts are highly preferred Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Comfortable with cold outreach and arranging meetings with decision-makers Strong relationship-building and account-development skills Leadership or brokerage-management experience preferred Self-motivated and capable of taking ownership of the brokerage operation
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are not looking for someone whose experience is limited to booking loads or working load boards. We are looking for a business-development leader who can open doors, get meetings, build direct customer relationships, generate freight opportunities, and develop a profitable brokerage operation. Position Freight Brokerage Operations & Compliance Manager Compensation Full-Time Industry Transportation / Trucking / Freight Brokerage Competitive base salary + performance-based commission/bonuses Experienced candidates with an established shipper network and a proven track record of generating direct freight are strongly encouraged to apply.

$64,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
