Job Description
SHD Composite Materials Inc seeks an Export Control Manager to lead trade compliance for advanced composite materials. You will own export control programs, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR), managing product classification, licenses, and customer/end-use screening. Partnering with Legal & Regulatory Compliance and Operations, you will design policies, conduct audits and training, investigate potential violations, and interface with authorities as needed. This role suits a detail driven professional experienced in manufacturing or aerospace export controls who can balance risk management with commercial needs in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain SHD's export control and trade compliance program. Interpret and apply U. S. and international export regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, sanctions). Classify products and technologies (ECCN, HTS) and maintain accurate master data. Manage export licenses, permits, and authorizations, including applications and renewals. Conduct customer, end-use, and restricted-party screening; assess and mitigate trade compliance risks. Partner with Legal, Operations, Sales, and Engineering to embed compliance in business processes. Deliver export control training and guidance to employees and key stakeholders. Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on impacts to SHD's global operations. Lead internal audits, investigations, and corrective actions related to export control issues. Maintain documentation and prepare reports; liaise with external counsel and authorities as needed.
