Job Description

We are partnering with a well-established global commercial insurance organization seeking a Licensing & Compliance Specialist to join its Regulatory Compliance team. This role is focused on insurance company/entity licensing and regulatory compliance , supporting insurance and reinsurance entities across multiple domestic and international jurisdictions. The position offers broad exposure to regulatory filings, licensing, legal research, corporate governance matters, and cross-functional initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities Manage insurance and reinsurance company licenses and registrations, including initial applications, renewals, and ongoing maintenance Prepare and submit regulatory filings to state Departments of Insurance and other regulatory authorities Track licensing requirements, renewal deadlines, regulatory submissions, fees, and related documentation Support corporate amendment filings and director/officer regulatory requirements Assist with insurance holding company filings and affiliate transaction approvals Conduct research on insurance laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and regulatory developments Communicate directly with state insurance departments, regulators, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Underwriting, Finance, and other business teams Support regulatory initiatives related to state expansion, new products, entity restructurings, and acquisitions Assist with reinsurance-related regulatory matters and contract execution Respond to regulatory notices, bulletins, data calls, inquiries, and filing requests Help improve internal regulatory processes, workflows, tracking systems, and compliance procedures Support technology and process-improvement initiatives within the regulatory compliance function Qualifications 3+ years of experience in insurance licensing, regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related insurance function Strong understanding of insurance regulation and licensing requirements Experience with insurance company/entity licensing strongly preferred Experience managing multi-state licensing, renewals, or regulatory filings Experience working with state Departments of Insurance or other regulatory authorities Strong legal and regulatory research skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments Bachelor's degree preferred Preferred Experience Property & Casualty insurance Reinsurance Multinational or commercial insurance environments Corporate amendment filings Insurance holding company requirements Affiliate transactions Director and officer regulatory filings State expansion initiatives Entity restructurings or acquisitions International insurance licensing or registrations Process improvement or compliance technology initiatives Apply Now
